Nodding Belletrists

The book writing app you talk to

Tell your story out loud and get a book back. The River Pilot, an AI book guide, asks you about it, writes each chapter in your own words, and tells you which history to double-check. You can type instead if you'd rather.

Getting started takes about a minute

  1. Make an account. An email address and a password. Nothing to install.
  2. Tell the guide about your book. Press Talk and speak, or press Write and type. Either way, just start anywhere: who is in it, where it happens, what happens first.
  3. Press Ghostwrite. The guide turns what you said into a chapter, in your words. Edit it, keep going, and download the whole book whenever you like.

There is nothing to learn first. If you can describe your story to a friend, you can do this.

Already started your book somewhere else?

Bring it with you. On your book page you can upload a PDF, a Word file or a text file, or paste the whole thing straight in. It splits itself into chapters, and from then on the guide knows your story before you say a word.

Talking or typing, whichever suits you

Built for getting history right

Most AI writing tools will happily make things up. This one tells you how sure it is. When your story touches real history, the guide says whether something is well established, something historians disagree on, or something it is not sure about. It never invents names, dates or quotes, and every chapter comes with a short list of things to check before you publish.

The book is yours

Everything saves as you go, and the guide remembers what is already written, so you never start from scratch. Add your own drawings or photos to any chapter. Download the whole thing, pictures and all, to your phone or computer any time you like.
