The short version: we keep what's needed to save your book, nothing more. You can download your book or delete everything at any time.
What we keep
- Your username, email address and password (stored scrambled; we can't read it).
- The words of your voice talks, saved to your book so chapters can be written from them.
- Your book: its title and chapters.
- How many talks and chapters you used each day, to apply the daily limits.
Who else handles it
- ElevenLabs runs the voice calls. It keeps call recordings and transcripts for up to 30 days, then deletes them.
- Anthropic (Claude) writes chapters from your saved talks when you press Ghostwrite.
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can use it
Accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. A younger writer can work on their book alongside a parent or guardian, who holds the account and runs the calls.
The guide is an AI
The River Pilot is an AI, not a person. It can be wrong about history. It labels how sure it is, and every chapter lists details to check against real records before you publish.
